Alan Osmond

Alan Osmond is an American singer best known as a member of the family musical group The Osmonds. As the leader of the Osmonds, he practically lived on a stage, thrilling millions of people with his world-class Osmond brand of entertainment. He has been involved as a successful writer, producer, director, entertainer, but most importantly, he is a good husband, father, and grandpa!

Alan Ralph Osmond was born on 22 June 1949 in Ogden, Utah, United States. He is American by nationality and belongs to the Caucasian ethnicity. His birth sign is Cancer. He was born to parents George Osmond and Olive Osmond. He was the oldest of seven siblings in the family.

Alan is happily married to his long-time wife, Suzanne Pinegar. The couple has been married to each other since 16 July 1974. They share eight sons - Michael Alan, Nathan George, Douglas Kenneth, David Levi, Scott Merrill, Jonathon Pinegar, Alexander Thomas, and Tyler James. All their sons are members of  The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

In 1987, Alan was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis demyelinating disease, which damages the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. Later, his son, David, was also diagnosed with the same disease in 2005.

Alan started his career in the music industry at the age of 12. He and his other three brothers - Wayne, Merrill, and Jay - were cast over a seven-year period on NBC's The Andy Williams Show. They also appeared in nine episodes of the ABC western television series The Travels of Jaimie McPheeters. 

Later, Alan became a member of the family musical group The Osmonds. Being one of the oldest siblings, he was a leader for the group. He played piano and guitar, co-writing many of their songs, co-producing most of their recordings, and arranging the dance choreography. But he stopped performing in 2007. Later, he played his last performance at Neal Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu in 2018. 

As of 2021, Alan has an estimated net worth of $3 million. He has been working with a charity and social organization, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, for more than 47 years.
