Carley McCord, ESPN Sideline Reporter, Dies at 30

Carley Ann McCord, best known as Carley McCord was a Cox Sports & ESPN sideline reporter. Steve Ensminger, the LSU offensive coordinator was preparing for the Peach Bowl between the Oklahoma Sooners and the Tigers when he was informed this tragic news. Carley McCord, his daughter in law passed away after a plane crash near the regional airport.

Plane Crash and Funeral

Carley was not the only one to face death in the plane crash, there were four more people. The plane in which she was traveling was expected to arrive at Regional Airport in Lafayette. She was heading for a game between Oklahoma and Louisiana State University.

According to the Lafayette Fire Department, the victims were Ian E. Biggs (pilot), Carley Ann McCord,  Michael Walker Vincent, Gretchen D. Vincent, and Robert Vaughn Crisp II.
