MJ Acosta is a Dominican-American sports reporter for NFL Network. As a part of Telemundo news, she produced, wrote, and anchored daily sportscasts in English and Spanish for two years. She is the first and only Afro-Latina representing the culture on the NFL Network.

Marjorie Acosta was born on 20 November 1984 in New York, USA. She is an American by nationality and belongs to the African and Latina ethnicity. Her birth sign is Scorpio. Her mother's name is  Maria Acosta. She grew up with her brother, Fernando Manuel, and sisters - Marlin Acosta and Evelina Acosta. Her father is a former professional basketball player from the Dominican Republic.

Acosta attended Miami Sunset Senior High School and later graduated from the University of Miami in 2005. She then studied Mass Communication and Journalism at Miami Dade College. In 2011, she graduated from Barry University with a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Communications.

From 2016 to 2018, Acosta covered the NFL's San Diego Chargers as a reporter at Telemundo 20 in San Diego. In 2018, she joined the NFL network as their Bay Area-based reporter. She was a first-ever on-air reporter for the NFL Network, where she provided content for both NFL Mexico and NFL Espanol.
