Shareef Rashaun O'Neal was born on 11 January 2000 in Los Angeles, California. He holds the American nationality and belongs to Afro-American ethnicity. Talking about his educational history, he went to Windward High School, and later, he attended UCLA for which he played 13 games. Recently he has transferred to Louisiana State University and will play for LSU Tigers.

Shareef started his career in his high school, Windward School, in a forward position. Due to his skills, he got scholarship offers from USC, Baylor, LSU, UCLA, Kansas State. However, he remained with Windward and saw his significant improvements in his game. Even though they could not win the tournament in Fairfax High School, he was best known in ball-handling, shooting, and defending skills. 

In 2016, Shareef was transferred to Crossroads School in Santa Monica and announced by the Los Angeles Times. A year later, he was committed to playing for the Arizona College. He was again committed to UCLA in the same month. He made his first debut in 2019-20 season, and recently on 22 January 2020, Shareef announced his leave from UCLA.

Shareef is just in the starting phase of his career, and his salary and income are still under review. However, he received around $50,000-$60,000 in scholarship while he was at UCLA. Moreover, his father's net worth is $400 million as of 2019 and, at present, is working as a NBA analyst. As of 2020, Shareef's net worth is estimated at $1 million.
